CataThrift is a marketplace connecting you with independent thrift stores. Each store sets its own return and refund policies. This page outlines the general framework and your rights as a buyer.
1. Store-Specific Policies
Individual thrift stores on CataThrift may have their own return windows and conditions. Check the store's page or order confirmation for specific details before purchasing.
2. General Refund Guidelines
- Item Not as Described: If an item significantly differs from its listing (wrong size, condition, or item), you may request a full refund within 7 days of delivery
- Item Not Received: If your order does not arrive within the estimated delivery window plus 5 business days, you may request a full refund
- Damaged in Transit: Items damaged during shipping are eligible for a full refund. Please provide photos of the damage
3. Non-Refundable Items
- Items marked as final sale
- Items returned after the store's return window
- Items that have been altered, worn, or washed after purchase
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, go to your order in the CataThrift app or website, select the item, and tap "Request Refund." You'll be asked to provide a reason and optional photos. The store will review your request within 3 business days.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. In-Store Purchases
For purchases made in-store via CataThrift POS, return and refund policies are handled directly by the store. Please contact the store for their in-store return policy.
7. Charity Round-Up Donations
Round-up donations made at checkout are non-refundable, as they are processed as charitable contributions at the time of purchase.
